The analytical company Marketing Logic has prepared a report on the availability of a list of the most important services for Russians in different regions of the country. This release shows the availability of cultural and leisure facilities. Theaters are within walking distance for 41% of urban residents of Russia, museums-for 45% and cinemas-44%, houses of culture-for 53%.
Using Big Data, which includes information about the number of residents, companies and enterprises of various profiles, public institutions, as well as GEODATA, experts analyzed information about the average distance for an urban resident in the regions of Russia to points of provision of various services: from clinics to theaters.
"If we take the average value of accessibility for urban residents of theaters, cinemas, museums and cultural centers across the country, the situation is as follows: 45% of citizens live within walking distance, 26.5% at a distance of 1-2 km, 23% at a distance of 2 to 5 km and 5.5% - more than 5 km. At the same time, we should note that we took into account the original purpose of cultural centers, but now they are often used for the functions of permanent trade or trade exhibitions, and are rented out. Meanwhile, the country's coverage of cultural centers allows us to consider them an important infrastructure unit today, which, with proper funding and management, can be a point of attraction for many citizens, especially where museums, theaters or cinemas are located in the distance. " говорит - says Dmitry Galkin managing partner of Marketing Logic and expert in Big Data and geomarketing
