«We enriched the data obtained by our partners from AlphaRM with our data showcase and analyzed the mutual influence of various factors, the correlation of sales volumes with the well – being of residents, the density of cities, the availability of various types of infrastructure, in total-more than 30 characteristics. The prepared statistical models showed that well-being does not have a significant impact on the sales of medicines in packages. We assume that this parameter is more important when distributing sales by price segments. Among the factors that significantly affect the decline in sales in packages, we identified the presence and density of medical institutions (state-owned ones have a greater impact than commercial ones), religious facilities, regardless of faiths, as well as sports facilities. The last factor is the most significant in the results of the analysis: sales are affected by the prevalence and density of all types of objects related to sports: stadiums, swimming pools, workout areas, sports stores, goods for recreation and tourism, and, of course, sports, fitness clubs and bases-this is the most significant factor in terms of influence from the considered ones. The more sports facilities and more developed sports infrastructure, the less people buy medicines. This is a fairly obvious conclusion: sports have a positive effect on health, but we were still interested to see a direct relationship between the number of sports facilities and drug sales. For 100%, we took the influence in Moscow and compared it with the influence of sports facilities on drug sales in the regions of the country», says Dmitry Galkin, Managing Partner of Marketing Logic.
