Number of shops per 10,000 residents in various Russian cities.

"We have prepared a series of rankings for a variety of industries and services, which we will publish weekly; we believe it will be useful for businesses and citizens alike. Contrary to the popular belief that the greatest concentration of shops and services is in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, our assessment shows that this is far from being the case. Both Moscow and Saint Petersburg have great potential for development and growth in the area of services for city residents. Given the transformation processes we are witnessing in the economy, the ranking can change quite dynamically, but now this data can be quite relied upon; it is relevant.", - Dmitry Galkin, Managing Partner, Marketing Logic.
